This month Knox has been perfecting skills he learned last month - mainly pulling up and crawling. He pulls up on anything he can (his favorite place is the windowsill so he can look out the window), and after lots of bumps and bruises he has figured out how to plop himself down on his bottom from the standing up position. He is a fast army crawler, but he has started crawling on his hands and knees occasionally.
He has also mastered the pincer grasp, and now loves finding little bits of things on the floor and playing with them or putting them in his mouth - dirt, leaves, dead bugs, etc. It's a good thing we bought a new vacuum! He is also a huge fan of puffs - eating those will keep him occupied and quiet for a good length of time.
Knox stills loves playing peekabo, and when you cover him up and ask, "Where's Knox?" he will pull the blanket off and giggle. This is about the only thing that will keep him happy while trying to change his diaper. He will not lay still anymore for diaper and clothes changes and sometimes screams as if he is being tortured until we are done. There is poop pretty much everywhere after a dirty diaper change - all over my hands, the changing table, and in my hair. Lovely. I'm ready to potty train.
We moved Knox out of the toddler tub into the great big tub after he pulled up and dove head first out of the toddler tub into the big ceramic tub. His father made sure the rules were posted in the bathroom before his next bath. No diving, son! He loves being able to splash and "swim" around in the big tub so I bet he will love swimming in a pool this summer!
Knox's hair is still growing and sticking straight up all over his head. Everywhere we go we get comments from people about his hair and, of course, how cute he is (tonight when we walked into a restaurant that we eat at a lot, the girl behind the counter said, "Aww! It's the baby with the spikey hair!"). He loves to smile for everyone at the grocery store and church and especially for pretty girls! He is quite a little charmer.
And here is a cute video I took of Knox while he was playing in his walker one day. Who knew a step stool could be so hilarious?
